Abrasive Wheels

Course Information:

1/2 day or 1 day course certificated by the CPR designed to provide delegatges with the opportunity to aquire or update their skills and knowledge needed to correctly mount, dress, set and use abrasive wheels in compliance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.

The course duration is dependant upon the knowledge and experience of users - employees new to using abrasive wheel may require the full 1 day course before being assessed and authorised by their employer to use abrasive wheels in the workpalce.

The certificate is issued detailing the type of abrasive wheel(s) used in the course as per Client's requirements.

Confined Space Awareness

Course Information:

1-day course certificated by the CPR designed to raise the awareness only of employees about the dangers of working in confined spaces as required by the Confined Space Regulations - delegates do not enter a confined space and are therefore not certificated to do so.

Confined Space Entry

Course Information:

2-day course certificated by the CPR designed to raise the awareness of employees who carry out confined space entry, together with practical experience of entering, moving around in and exiting a confined space.

Delegates will have supervised access to our purpose built confined space vessel at our Neyland training facility, after completing day 1.

Where Client's require delegates to enter wearing breathing apparatus, delegates must bring these with them as Safety Train does not hold a stock of the various types of breathing apparatus available

Fork Lift Truck Operation

Course Information:

3-5 day CPR certificated course covering the use of fork lift trucks; the course duration is dependant upon the knowledge and ability of delegates as assesed by the instructor in line with the HSE approved code of practice on the use of fork lift trucks.

Maximum number of delegates and course duration:

Novice operators:

3 delegates - 5 days minimum

2 delegates - 4 days minimum

1 delegate - 3 days minimum

Experienced Operators (with no formal qualification):

3 delegates - 3 days minimum

2 delegates - 2 days minimum

1 delegate - 1 1/2 days

Lorry Loader (HIAB)

Course Information:

1-3 day CPR certificated course aimed at providing Client's employees who operate Lorry Loaders (HIABs) at their premises, or at 3rd-party premises during deliveries, etc. with the skills and knowledge to correctly operate this equipment.

The course duration is dependant upon the knowledge and ability of the delegates as assessed by the Instructor.
